Ad-Aware Total Security

By using several layers of security, the Lavasoft-developed Ad-Aware Total Security protects your PC from all sorts of threats. The security solution protects against viruses, spyware, malicious downloads, online scams, hacker attacks, dangerous emails, and more. On top of that, Ad-Aware Total Security comes with parental controls, a tool to securely delete files, a strong encryption technology to help you protect sensitive data.

The system requirements for running Ad-Aware Total Security are: 800Mhz processor or better, 1GB of RAM memory or more, at least 800Mb of free disk space on the system drive. A wizard will help you install the security solution on your Windows-powered machine – support is provided for 32 and 64-bit Windows editions, from Windows 8 all the way down to Windows XP SP2.

Please note that you will need a license to activate Ad-Aware Total Security. You can get a 30-day trial or you can purchase a license from Lavasoft.
You should also note that you can install Ad-Aware as a first line of protection or as a second line of defense if you plan to use Ad-Aware alongside another antivirus software.

The panel on the left hand side displays shortcuts for all the functionality you can expect to get from Ad-Aware Total Security. Use these buttons to view a protection summary, to manually launch a scan, to enable parental controls, to access the Notification center, and so on. From an ease of use point of view, the application’s interface will not throw you any curveballs.
